What NYCCAL Does
- Advocates for city and state funding for adult literacy.
- Shares resources and training across programs.
- Coordinates messaging and social media campaigns.
- Helps member organizations collaborate on events and outreach.
- Educates policymakers and the public about adult learners’ needs.
How to Participate
- Attend NYCCAL’s monthly coalition meetings.
- Join a working group when relevant (Advocacy, Data, Communications, etc.).
- Tag or email NYCCAL to share your program’s events or achievements.
- Join citywide campaigns such as Digital Inclusion Week or Advocacy Day.
- Share program stories that highlight learner voices and community impact.
